Your Questions, Answered

  • You should arrive about 5-7 minutes before your appointment time to allow for intake and water/bathroom visit. Please fill out the intake form sent to your email prior to the appointment.

You will be greeted by your therapist and taken to your treatment room. There, depending on how thorough you were on your intake form, your therapist will ask you if there are any specifics areas or issues you would like to address. They may ask about your work or hobbies, as these things help paint a fuller picture of what might be going on with your body.

After the intake, your therapist will leave the room and allow you a few minutes to get on the table. You should undress to your comfort level* and lay under the provided flat sheet, fully covering yourself. You will remain properly draped for the duration of the massage, with each area of the body uncovered only when it is worked on.

During the massage, if you are experiencing any pain or discomfort, please let your therapist know immediately. We want to give you the best possible experience, so we encourage honest and open communication.

Once the massage is complete, you will be left in the room once again to re-dress. Your therapist will meet you back in the lobby to check in and take payment and/or rebook.

*Most folks opt to undress completely or leave their underwear bottoms on. You will always be properly draped with a sheet. If you still prefer to keep more clothing on, we are always happy to work within your boundaries.

    Other notes:

While a full body approach is recommended, it is your session, and ultimately up to you how we use the time. Simply let us know if there are areas that you do not want worked on in general, or even just for that day. You can rescind your consent to receive work on an area at any point during your treatment.

A full body massage typically includes: back, glutes/hips, back of legs, feet, front of legs, arms, neck/shoulder, face, and scalp. Ideally, all of these areas can be addressed in at least 60 minutes, but in order to accommodate requests for focus areas, some of these may be abbreviated or omitted.

  • You can book our “Massage” service; all of our therapists are trained in a variety of techniques and can tailor the session to your needs. Please note that “Deep Tissue” does not necessarily indicate the heaviest of pressure - massages of this type typically involve slower, focused pressure on deeper muscles and tissues. The goal is not to bombard the muscles with force, but rather to “sink in” with the tissue’s permission.

  • We provide our therapists with Organic pure jojoba oil, and “Soothing Touch” Unscented Massage Lotion. Your therapist may use one or the other, or both. If you have a preference, please let us know in the notes when you book.

The CBD oil or lotion we use sometimes varies depending on availability. Please reach out if you have allergies and would like a list of ingredients.

  • While we cannot guarantee a 100% scent free environment due to certain cleaning products and sanitizers, we use unscented detergent, dryer sheets, and lotion.

We encourage clients to arrive without perfume, cologne, or heavy scents.

  • While we can sometimes work on children under 18, there are some requirements and considerations.

We offer bookings for those under 18 on a case-by-case basis, as working with them may or may not be outside our scope of practice. Please reach out to us to discuss details before booking.

To work with children under 18, we require a Minor Consent Form to be filled out by the parent or legal guardian. For children under 16, the parent or guardian must be present in the room for the duration of the appointment.

  • These certificates should be redeemed by booking the “Holiday Gift Card Redemption” service.

Accessibility Notes

The Shoppe has a ramp that leads from the front parking lot to the front door. Each doorway has a small threshold lip that has been cleared by most walkers and wheelchairs.

The front door and treatment room doors have an entry width of 32” each. Our bathroom door entry is slightly narrower at 26”.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any accessibility questions.

Harassment

As licensed professionals, we take our credentials very seriously. There are still harmful stereotypes associated with this profession, and as such, we have a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment, “jokes”, or outright solicitation. If any of these occur, the session will be ended immediately; you will be banned from the premises and reported to authorities.
