About Us

The Massage Shoppe was founded in 2013 by David and Manee Powers. Together, they created a neighborhood gem that became known for its consistent quality and convenience.

In December 2025, manager and LMT, Emma Sharon, became the new owner of the Shoppe. She is honored to continue the legacy that Dave and Manee so tirelessly built, and is deeply thankful to all of the Shoppe’s loyal clients.

The Shoppe is currently home to seven Licensed Massage Therapists. They are each uniquely skilled, and together, offer a deep and diverse breadth of techniques, education, and experience.

Our mission is to provide individualized, therapeutic care for those seeking relaxation, relief from chronic pain, mental health wellness, and much more.


Emma Sharon, LMT, Owner/Manager (she/her)

Emma uses her combined knowledge of Swedish massage, Deep Tissue/Trigger Point techniques, and CranioSacral Therapy to customize the experience for each of her clients. Her work has been described as intuitive and deeply therapeutic. She is also certified in Pre/Postnatal massage, Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Hot Stone massage. Emma believes strongly in whole-body approaches and in the body’s ability to heal itself, and hopes to facilitate this process in her sessions.

Mila McEvoy, LMT, Assistant Manager (she/her)

Bilingual care is available with Mila. Se habla español.

Mila McEvoy is a 2010 graduate of The Massage school of Easthampton. She is trained in medical massage and incorporates neuromuscular techniques when needed from that training.  In addition she is certified in pre/ post natal massage and hot stone massage. Mila’s background is in competitive bodybuilding to now, functional training and it has helped her understand the muscular imbalances, and tailoring her clients massages specific to their lifestyle, hobbies and job profession. Mila specializes in blending deep tissue work (not to be confused with extra firm pressure) with relaxation.  She is a huge believer the body can heal itself once it’s relaxed and that is her goal for each client.

John Noreika, LMT (he/him)

John is a graduate of Cortiva Insitute for Massage Therapy in Cromwell Connecticut and is licensed as a massage therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registry of Massage Therapy. His primary area of practice is Swedish Massage, and he provides therapeutic bodywork sessions to all adults seeking to improve mental and physical wellbeing. John has been described as having a "heart to hand" approach to his massage sessions and is passionate about working to understand and address the needs of each client to deliver a customized massage that exceeds expectations.

Aya Mares, LMT (she/they)

Aya's intention as a massage therapist is to facilitate a space in which the innate healing powers of the client's body feel invited to flow. In a busy world, massage is a powerful tool for accessing one's intuition by re-connecting or deepening one's connection with one's body-mind. As a massage therapist, Aya is honored to call on their intuition and training in relaxation massage to bring ease to the body. Aya received training for massage at The Massage School in Easthampton and is currently studying Reiki in Northampton.

Grace Hantzis, LMT (she/her)

Grace is a licensed massage therapist with a deep passion for helping clients feel calm, balanced, and rejuvenated. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UMASS Amherst, she has a strong understanding of the mind-body connection, which she applies to her therapeutic approach. She furthered her education and training at The Massage School, where she earned her license and refined her skills in a variety of therapeutic modalities.

Grace specializes in creating personalized treatment plans that address your specific concerns, whether that's chronic pain, muscle tension, or stress. Her approach is holistic, taking into account both the physical and emotional aspects of healing. She offers a blend of techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, Reiki, foot reflexology, aromatherapy, and cupping—tailoring each session to meet your individual needs.

Miles Porter-Phillips, LMT (they/them)

Miles is a licensed massage therapist who specializes in deep tissue/sports massage and utilizes trigger point techniques. They provide a gentle calming energy and are committed to creating a safe space for everyone to achieve deeper connection to their bodies. Miles understands that everyone’s body is different and will take the time to learn about your specific needs to give a personalized relaxing massage.

Brandon Melendez, LMT (he/him)

Brandon is a graduate of The Easthampton Massage school of 2020. He specializes in therapeutic massage with the intent to balance the body. By adjusting to the client’s needs, Brandon has hands of intuition that will give you nurturing comfort while providing therapeutic techniques to give you the proper care your body needs. He has a knowledge of and passion for many different specialties, including trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, sports massage, acupressure, and stretching techniques.

Brandon is the best. He remembers the small details and makes a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere to relax completely. Always a smile on his face. You can tell he really enjoys what he does! - Sara L.
